All he has to do is get away from the Missus for a week or so, and, visit a retirement home - come house of ill-repute. He will no doubt be rejuvenated, and, f**k Liverpool and the Gooners over; singlehandedly!

Rooney is an attacking player. He is arguably the most difficult spotting match-up in the world. Honesty, who's faster than him? People think he's useless, because last season, he was injured and playing as a utility player rather than an attacking one. Sir Alex has issued a statement saying he will play Rooney more now as an attacker, his natural spot on the team. Now......just because he is English doesn't mean he gets it easy from the media. Most people bag on the English team actually saying they don't have a chance to be good for years. Also, Manchester United players don't receive sexual favors from the media, like is suggested by one of these answers. Did you not see Rooney hassled endlessly for smoking a cigarette and getting sick. If anything, it's those second-tier guys over in London who get favors from the media. All I've heard about all summer is how great Chelsea is(they aren't;)) and how Man U aren't deserving of Ronaldo. Oh, and at least Rooney plays with more heart than anybody anywhere....
