Why is it that none of these actors have freckles?

Question

Just look at those three "Harry Potter" stars, they have very fair skin and I can't see one freckle on them. This strikes me as odd.

Also, if you've ever seen that movie "John Tucker Must Die", the actors in that movie don't have any, either. Are they wearing makeup or did they actually manage to avoid getting freckles for twenty years?

You're not born with freckles, but they are genetic. People have them faded and they also fade with time.

Think about Lindsay Lohan. I've never seen anyone with more freckles than her in The Parent Trap, but she doesn't seem to have them anymore. A lot of make-up and fading.

Well most of them are wearing makeup, but i have to say quite a lot of my friends and I don't have any freckles.

Not everyone has freckles.  If you're not born with them then you won't have them

uhm just because you're pale doesn't mean you freckle.

Actually the actors in Harry Potter do have freckles!  They probably have been covering them up in the more recent movies, but go rent the first couple of Harry Potters.  Harry Potter has them, and so does his two friends the boy and girl.  Sorry, I can't remember their names.  I think the girl is played by actress Emma Watson though.  She's freckled.

Yeah, make up is used to cover up their freckles although cute freckles are sometimes kept and not hidden. Some people do not freckle.

In England the sun isn't as fierce and, yes people can still freckle, most Brits don't have the sun-bake culture that exists in other countries so they're not out in it for extended periods of time getting freckly.
