Question:

Why is it that once football season starts, sports media completely forgets about baseball

As an exclusive baseball fan, I can't stand the bias of ESPN and all other sports media towards football. Tonight I was going to watch Baseball Tonight and instead they talked about Bret Favre being traded to the Jets for 2 hours! They wouldn't spend 5 minutes talking about a baseball player being traded!

I don't care if most people are interested in football. My view is if baseball was played once a week on ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX, it would be more popular than football. Most football fans are macho freaks who have no brains just bodies and use their beer gut as an advantage instead of skill and talent.

  1. i did the same thing and then they talk about how farve was traded over and over again just repeating themselves that guy is getting on my nerves decided weather your going to retire or not

  2. I agree with you.  Baseball is the best game ever invented.  Football season like all major sports seasons is way to long. It starts too early  110 degree heat index and the fools are out there running around in full pads.  Its too d**n early for football.  I can't watch football until the end of September or early October.  Football used to end with 4 bowl games Cotton, Sugar Rose and Orange on New Years Day and then the season was over.  NFL championship was decided before Christmas  I wish we could get back to that

  3. I completely agree with you. I don't even want football to start, why is it as soon as it does the Brewers no longer can be found on FSN. I want to watch baseball. I'm so sick of the Favre situation, and I grew up in Green Bay and do like football, but nothing compares to baseball. I'm sick of football, every play, look for a flag...you don't know who it's for. Too many specialists, too many penalties, too many TOs and Ocho Cincos.

Baseball is all sport, no specialists, they all play-and most the entire game, no penalties, no flags. No timer....You're absolutely right with the football players, a one minute play results in an oxygen mask on the side-line for the big guys.

Football, has nothing on baseball. Yet, all we see on ESPN and it's kin is football. The summer, once dedicated to giving us the lowdown on all the MLB teams is now dedicated to the NFL as soon as preseason starts

I wish they played games on ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. People don't know what they're missing

  4. Right on, sister. Tell it like it is.

  5. i totally agree. i am A HUGE baseball fan pretty much only except for playoffs for sport and olympics. but the nfl get WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much coverage. all they need to say was who he got traded to and how money he gets and everyone will be happy!

  6. It was just a big deal because its Brett Favre.  Football does pretty much take over though.

  7. As an NHL fan, I agree---I think the NFL gets way too much coverage in it's offseason from the spring til late summer.  It's ridiculous and it's why no other sport can even challenge the NFL for the top spot it's like a monopoly of the media they have!
