Question:

Why is it that online news is now more in the form of video instead of article format?

I find it annoying that more often than not you have to watch a video instead of being able to read the article when getting online news. What is so bad about reading these days? I am not a reader myself, but I certainly don't like waiting for a video to load and then have to watch it when I could have read the article and moved on long before if I were to watch the video. Does anyone else feel this way or have an opinion?

  1. How articles appear online is usually based on the original source so if it was on a TV program it is usually a video but if it was written for a newspaper it is an article. Some sites do a good job on having both while others do not change it at all.

  2. Yes, it's because we want things now and the lazy don't want to read.
