Do they not know how to do that little thing called "Search"? If they don't know how to search for the number, how do they know the people they are reporting are illegally in the U.S.? Should we even allow these people to make false reports wasting ICE agent's time?

  1. Why do you keep asking this question?

  2. Why is it you keep cutting and pasting the same irrelevant articles all the time?  Doesn't everyone already know you choose to cite the exceptions to the rule as fact?

  3. A lot of people have minimal command of the Internet, especially the ability to search and actually find what they are looking for.  And granted, some people are lazy and prefer to have someone else look it up or give their opinion or relate their experiences.  That does not provide any grounds for assuming that such a person does not KNOW that so-and-so is here illegally, since there are great many ways to find out a person is violating immigration laws.

    Furthermore, ICE Hotling operators are pretty good at weeding out crackpots from those with legitimate info or reasonable suspicions.  If you have called the ICE Hotline to report someone, you would know that the question the caller to find out what, precisely, they do know, how they know it, and how ICE could document it.  E.g. "I work in the HR dept &..."

    Stop being an apologist for immigration-law violators and stand up for what is right for a change, bub.

  4. Well, if it turns out they wrongfully reported somebody and wasted ICE's time, ICE will fine them hundreds if not thousands of dollars... I say all is well.

    I agree with you on the basic premise of your question though: no one on the Internet these days has not heard of Google, but some people are lazy enough that they prefer...

    1) logging in to a forum such as Yahoo! Answers;

    2) typing up a question;

    3) waiting for a reply, which may not come (so then sometimes they'll post the same question again some time later)

    ...instead of googling it.

    In that process they waste everybody's time including their own.

    Of course it's their basic freedom to do so, or they may prefer communication with a human, or their question is too complex for them to formulate a search query, but simple questions like you mentioned can be answered by using Google or any decent search engine...

  5. Not everybody know how to use a computer. The real question you should be asking greasy is: Why isnt ICE doing their job? Here in houston there are more pointy booted illegals than you can shake a stick at. ICE doent need to recieve reports about illegals they just need to get off their butts and drive around the inner loop 610.

  6. cuz theyre morons.

  7. Does no one else see the irony of someone basically asking "Why do people use Yahoo Answers! to ask questions when they can just search on Google" when they themselves have resorted to asking a question on Yahoo Answers! rather than use Google...

    As for allowing them, providing false information to any federal level organization is a crime.

  8. As someone mentioned, YA is for asking questions. Kind of makes sense that they would ask,doesn't it?

  9. 1.) Not everyone has been on yahoo for years and seen the answer a billion times. New folks log on and seek an answer.

    2.) To gain attention

    3.) To get a rile

    4.) As a game with friends to see how many answers each gets on a question.

  10. Maybe it is because they get a kick out of aggravating illegals and illegal lovers, they dont really know, or they are too lazy to google.  I vote for, they like to aggravate....
