Why is it that people don't want Anubis, Horus, and Iris to be taught in school?

Are you scared your kids will actually believe in something?

  1. Well duh, you can't only teach Khemet.  


  2. I do believe in Elementary School the children get to learn Egyptian history.  I think you mean Isis the Goddess mother of Horus.  Horus father was Osiris.  Ra is the Egyptian God.  Tell me more.  I love to learn about Egyptian beliefs.  Where can I find it?  What is Anubis?

  4. I think they should be, along with other mythologies.  Mythology is very insightful and educational.

  5. I don't care if the Egyptian pantheon was taught in school.  It could be fun to learn about!

  6. Haha. I think, they should have classes specifically for subjects of that nature, including biblical/creationism/etc. But, if the student chooses to take it. Not just force-fed.

  14. I actually do teach my students about them in literature.  

  15. I personally find ancient religions interesting. It's crazy to think that maybe someday our most popular religions will be regarded as false.

  17. But they are taught. I learned ancient Egyptian myths and folklore and I went to Catholic school. I also learned Greek and Roman mythology and a bit of Celtic and Norse as well.

  19. i was taught about it, but i was in public school, maybe catholic schools or school alike don't but im not sure never been to one *im happy about that too*
