, and have no problem accepting their answer as fact? I find myself doing this as well. I just think it is very weird that I can ask people on here questions that I would never ask the people I actually know. How do you guys feel about this? Why do you think people do this so easily?

  1. It's easier to ask a perfect stranger a hard question just like it's easier to make a fool of yourself in front of a total stranger for the simple fact that they're unbiased and, more than likely, you will never see them again. That's why it's so easy to do. We don't necissarily take it as fact. We take it as an unbiased opinion that should be taken into account. It helps sometimes. Family and friends can just muck things up more at times.

  2. Because this site is full of people that most of us will never encounter in our real, everyday lives. If we ask people we know, we're vulnerable to rejection and judgment by our peers. This site allows us to get the honest opinion from people who don't know us. If they don't know us, then they don't know how to judge us, because they don't know who  or how we really are. They're not biased like a friend, or a family member would be.

  3. They may, perhaps; have the same level of confidence that I do.

  4. Because it's very impersonable when on line.
