  1. As you are finding out, there are not too many native locals anywhere anymore...Our country is being overrun with folks coming in from countries where there are hardly paved roads let alone superhighways and controlled intersections...They can barely speak the language and many do not have a clue about what traffic signs and signals mean...They learn just enough to pass the driver's tests and away they go...They tend to drive the way they see others drive on TV and in the movies...Throw in adverse conditions - fog, wet roads, ice - and the situation becomes grim at best...How to drive among fools and idiots is not being taught (nor can it be)...All we can do is blend in and be very patient and ready for any eventuality.

    All the best.

  2. My friends from the south always tell me that they'd probably die if they had to live up here in the north. They never claimed to know how, they admit to me they don't know how!

    :)

  3. I understand where you are coming from and it has to do with the same reason that many people don't know how to drive in the rain as well.

  4. Honey we have em' here to.....d**n a.s.s. people should just stay home....they cause accidents.....I love to drive in the snow.....I am a wild women....slide around corners....and slide sideways down the road......just kidding....I'm the safety girl......but there is nothing more funny than seeing some hot rod fly past you and then in a few miles you see em' in the ditch.....I just honk and drive by waving......unless they are hurt....then it's a different story.......

  5. Isn't it sad that people in the north drive / act like they haven't seen snow / ice before...........

    I mean come on people.........

  6. Yea, so... What's your point?

  7. i'm from the south and i think anyone who wants to drive in the snow and ice are stupid.

  8. i'm from the north and many people here don't know how to drive in it snow. We get a few flakes and people panic,, driving 40 mph on the highway, 10 in town.. its so annoying. I love drivingin snow. It makes my toyota feel like a rally car. You can power slide around corners, dougnuts, all kidns of fun.. yeeha.

  9. You should see when it snows here in London! They shut down the trains for christ sakes! Because OMG the tracks may just be wet!!!! They put out warning for no driving and all this for a whole 3 inches of snow!!!

Now I'm from Ohio... I know how to drive in feet of snow... Can you imagine watching all these people go insane because of 3 inches of snow.. It was a first funny then ridiculous.. Then it just pissed me off....

  10. YO MO!!! It ain`t just the south. Up here in the great white north, we have people from the East and west that think that a 4wd BMW with the most expensive tires makes them a rally driver. They can`t even get out of their driveway and cause more accidents for other people . It is not just the south my friend. Common sense and a sensitive feel is what it`s all about. The first part is the key, most just don`t drive according to conditions. Tailgating at 50 mph in the snow just confirms that they are brain dead and really should meet a bridge somewhere.

  11. true, everything you say is pure true

  12. Im from Alaska and im used to having a blast in the snow and raising h**l in the rain and the first time I went to florida and it rained everyone stopped on the interstate. I whipped around everyone and thought what the h**l.

  13. I'm from Indiana, so we're used to it. We still go slower than usual because we're smart about it (except for the occasional idiot). My parents lived in Kentucky for a few years and they said anytime there was just a brush of snow on the ground, people would freak out and drive like 20 mph in it. Drove them crazy!

  14. i think that for one, they are not use to there being snow on the first place. therefore they may  think oh, its nothing i can do it. another thing is that most southerns are independent and wont let nothing stop them or get in their way including the weather. and yes i am also from the south.

  15. because they know how to turn the key in the ignition.
