  1. it strains them. but someone told my they saw an episode on the health channel that is was a myth, and it doesn't affect your eyes. iono really know what to believe. but i means seriously it is that much trouble to turn a light on? i would just go with that since no one apparently really knows.

  2. FYI,

IGNORANT PEOPLE W/O ALL THE FACTS IN THE SCIENCE BEHIND VISION, BELIEVE THIS MYTH.

WHY DO THEY BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE "THEY" HAVE SAID IT.

BUT WHO ARE "THEY"? MORE MISINFORMED PEOPLE.

  3. It is just a wive's tale.

Reading in dim light will fatique the eye muscles more quickly and can lead to dry eyes, but it won't cause damage to any of the eyes components

" 'Likewise, sitting too close or too far from the TV will also have no permanent effect on your vision.' "  The site listed has a lot of wive's tales and health myths for you to look at.

  4. it makes your eyes focus on something small with almost no light.  you can become near-sighted.

  5. Reading in low light strains your eye muscles as they have to focus harder on the object.

The strain here is the only "bad" thing for your eyes. It in no way affects your eyesight.

  6. It forces your eyes to work harder to see the words on the pages
