Why is it that people who don't know anything about a religion want to try to argue against it?

If you don't know about a specif religion, learn about it first and then argue your side. To say what you THINK people believe and than argue with them when they say they don't believe it brings your credibility way down. And when you keep hating on one specific religion everybody on here sees it and realizes that you must have a bone to pick and your mainly speaking from emotions.

probably because every single person, including you, is confused. we all have questions in our heads that we can't seem to find the answers to. every type of religion is just a made-up way of trying to understand the universe and how we got here. i'm not saying every religion is "bad", because most have really good morals...but there are some religions that are just ridiculous and retarded for the most part...i'm not gonna name any because who knows you might be part of one of them, since it seems like a lot of people critisize your religion...

why don't you just live your life the way you want to, get off the d**n computer, and go do something fun?

There are many that think I don't know much about religions because of some of my answers. I have gotten many e mails stating so and that I need to read the Bible so I'll know what I'm talking about.

These are the average posters, I presume. The trick is on them because I was raised in the church, the son of the minister, and held the post of pastor myself for 19 years before I walked away. I have over 40 years in the religion and believe  I possibly know as much as or more than most. I don't know all the religions , completely but know some of many.

Do I qualify as one who is capable to answer?

a lot of people believe that a certain book comes from a god. here is just a few of his commands. 70:29-30 and those who guard their chasity[ private parts from illegal  s*x] except with their wives and and the slave girls and captives your right hand possess, for they are not to be blamed.;;; 23:6 ;;70:28 preserve chasity except with slave girls for there is no blame. with hundreds like this. i don't think there should be a arguement.. just ban it.

It is not necessary to know all there is in a particular religion to be aware of its basic absurdities.
