It's one of the reasons I hate Wal-Mart. Treat you kid like trash and he'll end up like trash.

  1. wow....

  2. i agree in a certain way

i live in london but its the same here too (i have been to America also anyway)

its the parents who were once kids and were treated the same way they are treating their kids at the moment

its common, genetic disorders run in genes, and if u r abused as a child u dont know any different apart from how u were tought

its hard to believe but some people actually dont end up like that as long as they have some knowledge in some category  and r not too lazy then they can get out of the little bubble

this will always be a problem,as there are MUCH MORE of them then there are of civilized, well brought up people

    xoxo hope i helped

  3. kids with class act better i think ,

i agree what good does yelling do to a child talk in a low voice seems to work better ,

  4. lower education

  5. Because they have no monetary things to offer their kids..unlike RICH people....

So we choose to teah them manners, ehtics, and morals...no matter if it is in public.

Rich people don;t have to worry about their kids' tantrums..they always get what they want....and they dare not discipline their children in public....How embarraasssing for them!!!!

  6. I don't know if this too much of an answer but there are actual studies showing that between the three main parenting types (authoriatative, passive, authoritarian) low income parents are most likely to go back and forth between authoritarian and permissive. Those two types yield the worst outcomes as far as raising well adjusted adults. This is often due to many parents being overworked and underpaid/stressed but many of your low income homes are single parent ran, as well.  Their frustration levels are higher because they have the roll of two parents.  Also, (sorry last point) lower income parents are shown to value conformity, obedience, etc..in children and middle an upper class are said to value independent thinking more.

  7. wow! theres a reson,

evedently some people think they are better than anyone else and if they dont dress up everyday and put airs on in front of people, they must be white trash or something.

there is no excuse for violence , but if you are talking about a smack on the butt , children need that once in a while .

poorer looking people , as you call them . are more likely to correct their children in public because they dont pretend to be some one else. and they dont let their kids grow up to be undisaplined brats. so when they need disaplin , they get it.

I think its better to see a parent correcting their child than to see a wild animal of a child doing what ever it wants to and the parents ignoring it.

  8. How do you characterize poorer-looking? You said violently do you mean assault or just a spanking; you have some ism issue's......lookism, sexism, and sure maybe but hopefully not racism.

By the way what do you look like shopping at Wal-Mart and I take it you don't have children but if you do they're the ones you see the parent pleading with to please stop acting that way" your not gonna get anything else" oh wait till we get home; then later oh wow I can't believe little Billy did that to his own mother. Yet i sort of agree with you; you see my children understand and understood very early to conduct yourself accordingly bottom line don't act a fool in public or we both could have regrets.....

  9. you sound like a ignorant *** "poorer looking" parents can discipline their children how ever they please. if you don't like WalMart  then don't shop there. if you don't like seeing "poorer-looking" people then stay out of their neighborhood because they obviously don't live in your neighborhood. and if you had kids then you would know that you can't wait to discipline your child an hour after the fact you have to do it right away.

  10. Because they don't care what other people think of them. The rest of the people just wait until they're at home.

  11. The answer is really quite simple, although I have a feeling you are simply trying to rile up some tempers, most likely in THIS section you will succeed.

Poor families generally live in not so ideal conditions.  Not so ideal conditions create situations that wealthier families do not have to deal with, therefore causing the poorer families to come up with ways to reign in their children that other people in other income brackets and better living conditions do not have to.  There is obviously violence and not ideal conditions within wealthy families as well, it is better hidden and the children of those types of families are raised to keep their dirty laundry in the hamper, so to speak.  Children who grow up in poor situations and in less than ideal living conditions tend to grow up and live their adult lives within the same confines.  There are always exceptions to this, but it is generally the rule.  Living in an unsafe area does more then people like to think, emotionally and physically.  Too many people look at it only on the superficial exterior, the problems go deep and they will affect future generations, THAT is why is is important to really change things, not for the here and now, that won't happen, but the future and our ancestors that will be living in that future.
