Why is it that.....?

Question

a girl and her friend were in the living room. She asked me how I was, and then I asked her the same question. Then they both started smiling/ slightly laughing. Is this a sign that she likes me?

This is a sign that she is suffering from a severe case of gigglitis. It seems to run rampant among teenage girls and disappear as they approach their twenties. I advise you to evacuate the area immediately, as it is known to be extremely infectious.

Sure, it means that she likes you as a friend. Don't pull the "I think she likes me" thing us. Girls like to be friends with guys, and nothing more. She's probably just a really great friend who felt kinda silly.  She's just a nice girl and she's just being funny. That's what friends do, they smile, laugh and have a great time!
