carrots form this kind of whitish buildup when i store them in the refridgerator? are they not good anymore? should i be storing them in water?

  1. its just the skin drying up. it doesn't taste any different from the inner layers. just eat it. it can't harm u in any way


  2. It's just the tissue on the outermost surface drying up.  Peel the carrot and you'll see it is perfectly fine one layer down.

    Don't store them in water.

  3. I think it's just the outer skin drying up. I've never noticed it except on baby carrots. On regular, unpeeled carrots, the skin keeps it from happening.

    I eat 'em anyway, and tell myself I should have been eating my carrots all along, then I could be eating fresh orange ones instead of old white ones.
