Why is it that so many products can be made from soy beans, but not other kinds of beans?

you see soy sauce, soy nuts, tofu bean curd, soy ice cream, soy milk.

But you don't see pinto bean nuts, or kidney bean ice cream, or red bean tofu curd, or black bean milk.

Soy beans are completely different in makeup.....they have little flavor as opposed to other beans. There are also different types of soy beans (tofu comes from a different type of soy bean than is used for general products)

Soy beans are just super-versatile...and would you eat kidney bean ice cream?  Or black bean milk??  That just sounds nasty!!
