Why is it that so many servers are complicated, like Gmail?

Gmail has many complex facts that are not useful to me and that is why I am signing up with Yahoo, will it be more suser friendly?

If you stick with it and LEARN to use it, GMail is the BEST email service available!

That said, with a lot of features, comes complexity!

Unless you PAY for the extra features in Yahoo Plus you will eventually be disappointed by lacking features... and even then not have as good a deal as the FREE GMail!

The features of the various e-mail providers (Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, etc.) are all basically the same.  Google's applications usually present a fairly basic interface that doesn't do too well at hiding "advanced" features.  Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail are more familiar, as they look similar to e-mail applications on the computer (like Outlook or Entourage), and they arrange features based on use, so the more advanced options are usually hidden away so as not to get in the way when users just want the basics.  Yahoo! Mail will probably be less intimidating, but it offers pretty much the same functionality as Gmail.
