Why is it that some people don't care about anybody but themself?

I guess everyone will have their opinion about why, i don't think naturally we are like this, if we were what we do for homeless, poor, etc. would not exist at all. I am also not saying we deserve awards for it either, cause there's so much more everyone can do, but decide not to, or think they won't make a difference, or think its not their job.

I am a giving person, and what bothers me at times is how i wish i could always do more, no matter what i do.

whether its for immediate family, friends, co-workers, well wishers, associates, or even strangers i meet on the street, from simple conversation.

I am the type to give you the last of whatever i have, and i know it will come back, and always has manyfold, because that's how it is.

you simply can not live in this world and be selfish, its just not good.

I don't know of anyone who's selfish, or greedy, and can claim they are truly happy, if they make that statement, i think they are liars.

Its the way so many are being raised. If you don't look like me, act like me, believe what I do or VOTE the way I do..then your no good.

that's what I think many are being taught on a subliminal level.

selfish, very selfish, like people that only talk to "pretty" people are really stuck up, people should not be like that you know, what if they were ugly? they wouldnt have anything, thank god i talk to everyone.
