Why is it that surfing works out your stomach so much?

i did crunches and stuff a lot before but i never started to get a six pack until i started surfing.

  1. U use your core muscles for all of surfings movements.


  2. Surfing is a full body workout.  You use your arms to push your entire body mass up while balancing on a board, thats almost all of your muscles right there and than when you start to paddle and turn into waves and other things you have to pull your entire body with your abs.  Long story short=surfing is a full body workout.

  3. when you surf you get a very big workout especially when you paddle because u r constantly moving your arms up and down, this also works your core muscles very hard which is why u may get tired while u surf

  4. surfing works out your whole body, popping up (push ups) getting to your standing position works out your abs, controlling your board also works it out! paddling as you move side to side you work out your sides ,your  legs..... surfing is the best all around work out!
