Why is it that the US and Israel can't play nice with others?

In regards to Iran, both countries are aggressively trying to DENY Iran its rights to nuclear power (not nuclear bombs) as spelled out by the NPTI--which Iran is a signatory member of.

They both see threats where none have existed for the last six years--since Iran announced it was starting its uranium-enrichment process.

Both Israel and the US still thinks that Iran has an 'Easy Button'; whereas all the have to do is select a year, push a few buttons and viola!--INSTANT NUCLEAR WEAPONS.

And now...? With Iran having tested its short and medium-range missiles--the US government has openly suggested (by its wording and definition) that Iran has NO RIGHT to even defend itself; as it should be illegitimately attacked by countries like Israel and the US without said provocation.

What if it was us? And Iran was the super-power? Should we be denied our rights as a nation because some countries just plain don't like us--and don't play well with others?

Iran has said that Israel should be wiped off the map -- and you think it should be allowed to develop nuclear capability?

Do you think Iran's missile tests are only about self-defense?

After it has already threatened to wipe Israel off the map?

That's sort of like hearing a guy say that he would shoot his next door neighbor -- and then allowing that guy to have a gun!

I know this sound crazy but I think the only logical explanation

is because US and Israel need enemies in order to exists

Don't be ignorant.  The others, as you say, are not playing nice with us. We are the targets not them. They have to luxury of being in the shadows taking pot shots at us, while the guilt ridden west cowards and waits for another attack. Stop being an American apologist. Love the this country or leave it unless you can accept Shari'a Law.

I think you got it  right.

Using the "scare tactic" that there are BAD nations out there that want to have nuclear weapons to attack us is just plain "outdated".  We have used that scare tactic to keep nations in the UN lined up with "us", and keep voters voting for conservatives too.

Yes, nations may want to attack us, or kill us, but only if we threaten them FIRST.  If we were friends with them, they'd not want to harm us, would they?  Would China today want to attack their best customer?

Perhaps Iran wants nuclear weapons (if it does, maybe not) just to become a superpower like China, Pakistan, Israel, Britain, France, USA, and who knows what other countries already with them.

My point is, how does having two or three MORE nations with nuclear capability actually harm us?  China or Pakistan could do enough damage, but WHY would they?

The Soviets never used nukes against us, and we had a Cold War, with them for 50 years.

Think of money wasted in FEARING the Soviets?

Think of how much better the world would have been, if only we'd stop the arms race, sooner.

Our threats against other nations, and preemptive wars against the likes of Iraq, or threats against Iran, will only encourage their hostility, IMO.

What is true about Nukes, is they are so terrible weapons, they are in fact a deterrent to war, not a cause for war.  

Any nation that used them again, would have the whole world against it, even if the USA or Israel used them first, and we cannot because of world-wide uprisings against any such "wild" nation that used them, except in self-defense.

Let every nation have nukes, then we'd perhaps have world peace, as no nation would think of starting war, and having these weapons used against them.

Peace at last, peace at last, if only we stopped seeing a boggey man behind every tree, or nuke.

BTW, trading with nations, like trade with our long time enemy China, will make the world safer. Isolating nations, keeps them our enemies longer.

I could rant more, but don't want to bore everyone.

The US nor Israel have flew plans into buildings murdering 3000 innocent people.  Neither the US nor Israel sends people strapped with bombs to murder innocent people.  I'm sorry to hear about your brain tumor and what it's done to you.  I hope your pain isn't too bad, you have a very long way to go kid.  Sorry but yo have no concept of what you're saying little kid.  Now go cry to your mommy.

any country which has as its stated purpose the total elimination of another sovereign state is considered a terror state and has no "right" to nuclear power, as you call it.

sane people see the nuclear threat for what it is.  others, as yourself, seem to see only lollipops and ice cream factories.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told the world that Iran would wipe Israel 'off the map'.  How can you "play nice" with a country that is threatening to wipe an entire people off the face of the earth.  What do you want us to do?  Say, sure, you can have weapons and nuclear technology as long as you don't do what you promised you would do?
