  1. what are you rambling on about?

those asians aren't even good looking rofl

there are barely any asian people in U.S. to begin with let alone in hollywood.

  2. Maybe they haven't found any who are interested in the field and have a green card!  xox

  3. cause there arent any

  4. well there is good looking asians in the world!! (the ones you listed are UGLY) but maybe asians arent into being actors that much. the ones on tv are good looking i think. there arent that many actors in the us that are asians...

  5. there are a lot in movies and stuff... weirdo

  6. Hmm...... sorry I was just daydreaming about a three way w/ Lucy Liu and Kimora Lee. What was your question? Oh right good looking Asians, huh?

Well funny you should ask because I was just discussing that exact topic with my American friends Chow Yun Fat, Parminder Nagra, Jet Li, Kelly Hu, Ziyi Zhang and Michelle Yeoh and we all agreed that you are right. Not all Asians look like Pat Morita, Margaret Cho or George Takai, we should have some ascetically pleasing Asian actors / actresses in film and TV.

    Someday maybe

  7. What about Lucy Lui?

  9. Those you listed aren't that great either. Any who... Who cares?

  10. Yea they do you just are  concentrating on the super-famous ones, you seem to be very close minded, America is not some close minded self-absorbed country, that people are led to believe.

  11. Maybe they are shallow.. Or maybe they havent thought about it.

  12. Have you ever been to Asia?

  13. yup.. bias. US always focuses everything on themselves.

on tv, they only showed competitions that had the US in it. otherwise it wouldn't be broadcasted

  14. i think most of the "hot celebrities" are actually, queite frankly, not even that good looking to start with... they just know how to sleep with the right producers, agents, etc.etc.

its all about buisness here in the U.S of A

and they use whatever sells and whatever works...

  15. Because americans think theyre country rules all earth

    pffft

  16. There are many Asian actors trying to make it big, the problem is there aren't many roles for them. When Hollywood thinks Asian actor, they think specifically Asian character. Of course, that's not true for other ethnicities. Give Hollywood Will Smith, and he can act in roles that are not specifically black, like I am Legend. Give Hollywood Halle Berry and she gets a role like Catwoman. But when you give an Asian actor to Hollywood, the assume that they can only use him for a character who is specifically Asian (Hiro from Heroes, that guy on Lost, etc)

The situation has improved somewhat recently (Harald and Kumar films, but even then they are not mainstream Hollywood productions), but this is the explaination for lack of Asian actors on TV.

Even specifically Asian roles are rare because Hollywood fears trying new things. They tend to stick with what has worked in the past. Unfortunately most Asian roles in the past are often stereotypical and offsensive, so Hollywood does not use Asian characters altogether.

In fact, the movie 21 is based on the exploits of a mostly Asian group. The guys from Hollywood whitewashed the cast.

  17. Its simple dude anything good about Asia will not be really focused in the US media. Asia will be only focused when there is some kind of problem or any bad news.
