I think it is the tension of worrying of what he is thinking, him being the boss, whether you are doing a good job or not.

When my boss is around my day goes faster, you need to ease off bit and act like you having fun wheher your boss is there or not, and enjoy your work protend you cant see them play invisable game and dont forget to look busy with important task even when you not, they like that plus when chating off record or what ever do tell them how hard was they like feed back.

work should be fun otherwise passing a day could feel like a year been there done that..
