  1. The horse has no gall bladder to produce bile to break down saturated fats. The gallbladder is a storage area for bile, which is produced in the liver. The horse actually secretes huge amounts (several liters) of bile every day directly into the small intestine. This makes them one of the most efficient digesters of fats, including saturated ones.

    So, irrespective of the fact whether they are herbivores or not; they don’t need a gall bladder. Similarly, a RAT is not a herbivore and still doesn’t have a gall bladder because of the same reason!!!.
