Why is it that the media

portrays so much negativity and such little positive? It's always so condescending and irritating to watch most of the time. For example, I have been told by many soldiers who have come back from Iraq that there are a lot of good things going on there.

  1. people arent interested in good. when people are driving, do they stop to look at a car thats doing what it should? NO. do they slow down and almost stop when a car is blazing and tore up with people hanging out. h**l yeah they do. people want to see horrible, they dont want to see dull.

  2. 1.  Negativity makes for more intriguing news

    2.  A lot of people like to watch the news to get a sense of their place in the world (and to reassure themselves that they are "ok").  Watching stories about the problems of other people make us feel like our lives really aren't so bad after all

    3.  Journalism is controlled by money and capitalism.  At the end of the day, the stories take on the spin of the people with the dollars who back the news stations.

  3. That's one of the main reasons I stopped watching the mainstream news. Too depressing and keeps people in fear. And it's full of propaganda.

About the war thing; overall, the fact that there is a war at all outweighs any good that's coming from it. There is no way possible, regardless of the outcome that it will have been worth it, because it wasn't erected on legit terms in the first place, and so many precious lives have been forever lost.

  4. the msm media is run by far left liberals!! down with the mainstream media!!
