  1. because they like to assume stuff.

  2.

The media prints and shows what the public demands.

If no one bought it, they'd present something else.

  3. Celebrities PAY for this exposure like buying an ad. And also many of the Producers OWN the media... Many of the media are dual involved.

Check to see who owns the companies and the contracts.

    Its big business.

  4. Because the media is comeplete sh*t

  5. because its true

  6. Media is one of the sources that is going to bring the downfall to the USA

    - False accusations

    - Wrong Priorities

    - Gossip

    - Make people change their own beliefs when it is not necessary

    - Amounts to almost all the resources people watch each day

  7. Whoa, I was just talking about this with my mom earlier...

It bothers me: like why do we care about the lives of the rich and the famous and not others...

like if a celebrity is caught wearing a certain something people freak out about it... its stupid.

and for example.. the death of Bernie Mac.. if he werent famous and just some other 50 year old man died of Pneumonia no one would really care. its a shame :-/

  8. Because sadly it IS the only thing most people want to see.

    =/

  9. Obviously, there is an audience that wants to hear about celebrities. The media is simply catering to the dumbed-down audience that is a large part of our population. Of course, the media is supposed to keep people informed, but it has largely given that function up in favor of letting ratings determine their news coverage.
