  1. your not really even paying for the food more like the presentation. the food is like a fancy work of art that you can eat not some sloppy meal with lots of food that had no work put into it and is of lower quality.

  3. by then it becomes an art, otherwise really expensive ingredients were used to make that meal you just ate  

  4. its an art at that point. i know a place where a meal can be 1500 and its 16 courses yet each course is like a bite. that 1500 also includes wine tasting too i beleve.

  5. The price goes into ingredients, presentation, atmosphere & prestige of the restaurant & chef.

    All the fine dining restaurants I've worked in have given decent sized portions. I've seen many a guest take home doggie bags.
