Why is it that we see the sun??? Is Sun the source of light????

Question

Basically light travels from the sun and is reflected by objects, and ultimately thats how we see things.

but if the sun is the source of light, then how come we see it even though there is no light reflecting off it????????

We don't see only by reflected light.

We see things either by the light they emit (like a light bulb, a candle, or the sun) or by the light they reflect.

The Sun is emmitting light. For us to see something that does not create it's own light, it must reflect light. Lightbulbs do not reflect light, they create it, hence we can see them.

Because the sun has a surface that the light we see is emitted from.  It's the same reason you see a light bulb.

The Sun is a source of light, except at night. The Sun's photosphere is basically the point in the Sun's atmosphere where the photons are scattered last.

We see light from a light bulb.  It really isn't isn't much different for a source than it is for a reflection.

We see the sun by its own luminosity.  This is obvious to anyone who ever looked.  All you need to do is step outside during the day, and you will "see the light."

It's perfectly ok for us to see light that comes directly from the source. Light is generated when electrons in atoms become "excited" out of their normal positions and release a photon as they return back to normal. It doesn't matter where this light comes from, it's all the same to our eyes.

The Sun is the light source, you don't need light reflecting off it, the sun is a star and we are the right difference away from it to see it without being burned, and not too far away from it to freeze.

Light comes from the sun.  It doesn't have to be "reflected" to be seen.  It's the source.

The sun is a luminous object.  It produces light (among other electromagnetic radiations).
