Why is it that when a woman's biological clock starts ticking, then it is acceptable to date the good guys?

It's okay for a woman to run around with "bad boy" losers and ignore the good guys when she is young, but as soon as her clock starts to tick, then she "settles" for the good guys.

If the good guy wasn't acceptable when she was young, why is he okay now?

I think it has to do with sewing the wild oats when you are younger. Once you grow older,  you know that the "bad boy" will not make a good husband or father and it doesn't matter how many articles in "Cosmo" or "Glamour" tell you how to win their hearts, still they hardly ever change.

Maybe because she's matured enough to see that a 'good guy' is better for her?

More likely, it's because she realises that the good guy will make a better husband and father, and she's at the point in her life where what she wants is a husband and father for her children, not just a hot exciting s*x partner.

i guess it's all about growing up and making better decisions. you tend to make better choices when you have a whole lot more to deal with, such as family kids and what you really want out of life. at a young age you are not picky and you feel free and open to anything. after that you start piecing together every decision to your life and how it will affect your future. women definitely dont want the bad boys they dated when they were Young to be around their kids. its all about growing up and figuring where you stand in life

Because most women get 'caught' by players and the like when they're younger. Also as their biological clock ticks they know that the 'good guys' are the ones who are going to stay with them, and be around to raise a family. Also the 'good guys' are probably too shy or intimidated to go up to girl when they're younger, and women are attracted by confidence. I'm not sure it's a conscious thing, a confident guy attracts women, and it takes a long time to work out that those guys are jerks. A bit like kissing a thousand frogs before you find your prince.

Cuz the good guys are easy money, and in the court, there is no such thing as a good guy, so the courts will side with the women.

Because the ticking of the biological clock breeds desperation. So, she marries somebody who isn't right for her, has his babies, then ditches him. That's why the world is awash with single mothers these days. Geez, I see this all the time...
