Why is it that when i take a screenshot when im playing this one game its small?

Its def not full screen size, the game is nancy drew: legend of the crystal skull. how can i make it so that it takes full size screenshots? Why does it shrink them automatically?

It may not be shrinking them at all.  You can check  to see what resolution the game is running at, it may not be the same as your normal screen size.  For example, my screen is set to 1024 x 768, and there is a certain game that I play where the screen resolution is 800 x 600 while the game is running.
