Why is it that when people say MJ is not the best ever they automatically assume that we mean Kobe is?

I mean these Jordan lovers can't stand people saying he is not the best. But whenever someone says he is not, they go to a site, copy his stats then copy Kobe's stats and compare them. This is dumb for two reasons. 1, MJ is retired, Kobe is not (if you don't understand that, you just force yourself not to). And 2, half the time people don't even mean Kobe. They might mean Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russel. Why do people automatically assume that when someone says MJ is not the best, they mean that Kobe is?

That's because most of the morons on YA actually DO mean Kobe is the greatest of all time when they say Jordan isn't.  

If you're not included in that group, good for you, but perhaps you should look around and check out what kind of people you're surrounded with here before talking about something like this.

Edit: I'm sorry I misjudged you.  From your claim that Pippen was the best player for the Bulls, I see that you ARE included in that group.  My apologies for overrating your intelligence.

Edit #2: Why wait for anyone's email?  Try and give me your "proof" that Pippen was a better player than Jordan, right here and right now.  Or is there a reason why you HAVE to do it over email?  I think you're too chicken to deal with all the other normal people ganging up on you for making a stupid claim like that.

It's one thing to support Kobe and wish him to be the best ever someday, but it's totally another matter to be so desperate to demean Jordan by saying that he was the second best player on the Bulls.  I mean fer goodness sakes, at least give me Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain.  Sheesh.

Jordan's followers/worshipers are paranoid sick of Kobe, because he's the closest thing to an overall carbon copy of Jordan we'll ever see, and they just can't stand that anyone could be as great as their precious Michael Jordan.

Actually most of the debate is not saying MJ is the best. It's saying that Kobe is better tha MJ.  That is an ignorant statement.  Especialy since kobe isn't retired yet.  Bill russell is the greatest.  Jordan is better thanKobe.  It's the little kids that say that kobe is better than MJ because of pIppen.  thats ignornant to say. Basketball is a team sport nobody does it all by themselves.  

Post season is who you judge who is great.  I just hate all these little kids calling kobe g.o.a.t.  already and his career isn't over.

Usually people make their opinions pretty clear.  If they say MJ is not the best, then they usually follow it up with their opinion of who is.  

Or they will just say Kobe>MJ

OR Kobe=GOAT

I'm willing to entertain a debate about who can lay claim to the GOAT title.  But the Kobe argument is not worth my time.  If you want to say Magic, Russell or some other legend we can certainly have that discussion.

The only MJ lovers are kiddies who never seen Jordan play in the 90s.. I still remember his butt getting whipped in 1987 until Pippen was drafted and started playing in 1987-88

did you know that pippen had the same teammates from the first 3-peat plus toni kukoc and pete meyers joining after jordan retired, toni was one of the best players that came from over seas, that is why they

advanced to the playoffs more then they did jordan, toni was the clutch shooter for the bulls that year and phil asked toni to take the last shot in one of those playoff games and pippen protested and sat out the last second of the game and toni made the basket to advance.

                                                                                                                                                                                                       know for jordan teammates his first 3 years and playoff apperances and eliminated in the first round, jordan didn't have the reliable teammates that pippen had, jordan faced the mil. bucks kind of similar to the pheonix suns before shaq, in the playoffs and the other 2 playoffs were against the boston celtics of robert parish, larry bird, kevin mchale and dennis johnson who was the mvp in the seattle championship back then,

now to say that pippen went farther then jordan in the playoffs, pippen didn't have to face the mil. bucks and the power house boston celtics and remember jordan made the playoffs his rookie year, the bulls hadn't made the playoffs for 3 years before jordan got drafted to the bulls.
