  1. Your moving the same speed as the bus, try jumping a bit higher and longer.

Out the door at 50 mph maybe?

  2. So if you did it in an airplane you don't slam into the back.

  3. Physics. Because there is no force trying to move you backwards. It's no different there than if you were standing on the ground. You know the earth spins around once every 24 hours and it's also hurtling around the sun quite fast as well. You don't move backwards or forwards or sideways or any of that when you jump do you?

  4. once in motion always in motion.

  5. because at the time you jump, you are not standing still.  You are moving forward at the same speed as the bus.  When you are in the air, you maintain the momentum that you had when you jumped.

When you are standing still on the ground, you are really moving on the earth as it rotates.  You have a momentum there too, or the earth would move out from under you, and you'd land in a different spot.

  6. Because you are inside of the bus.

  7. Try jumping as the bus is about to stop.  Then you will be on a different spot... probably laying down on the floor because you fell.
