  1. Lots of people suck at driving. Believe it or not, some guy deliberately tried to run us off the road today. We were driving the speed limit on the interstate and he must be better than everyone so he can drive 85

  2. I think it's mostly men who are to blame for reckless driving. They love to feel the power of going fast. They also love to show off how great they an drive at higher speeds. In the past 6 yrs I've gotten 2 tickets on the same road...I was doing 32 in a 30 and 33 in a 30...cop was a jackass....other than that nothing. I've been in...4 accidents in my life. Two were w/my car...one w/my mom and one w/my friend...NONE of us were at fault. 2 Rear ends by men, One guy drove into my friends car when she had the right away and when I was a child some drunk guy t-boned my moms care. Every guy I've ever gotten into a car w/were horrible. Check the facts again. Why do you think boys/young men have a much higher payment for car insurance then women?

  3. AND

--many involved in car accidents are mostly teenagers...

--many involved in car accidents are mostly men..

--many involved in car accidents are mostly drunks...

I've has five accidents and ny wife has had one. And she was not at fault. Yes; a lot of women are in accidents as a result of being hit by other people.

  4. Teenagers are just as bad no matter what s*x they are. They don't take driving seriously. Watch them, there doing everything but paying attention to there driving.

  5. That is wrong. Look at all the accidents and you will find that MEN were the cause while WOMEN were the VICTIM.

Men throw out all rules after the driving test. They feel power when they drive kinda like NASCAR

I personally have been involved in 3 accidents all which were caused by men.

A Man made an Illegal U Turn right into my car

A Man Ran a Red Light HIT & RUN

A Man Rear Ended Me at a stop light He had NO insurance and was yapping on a cell phone Jammed all 4 doors on my vehicle  because he was traveling too fast

So LOOK UP THOSE STATSTICS AGAIN WOULD YA

  6. Funny, that doesn't explain why insurance rates for women are LOWER than they are for men in most cases.

If women truly were statistically more likely to get in a wreck, they'd pay more for insurance, but such is not the case.

Anyone can be an idiot driver but men are typically more likely to speed, drive aggressively, succumb to road rage and drink & drive.

I am a female OTR truck driver with over half a million accident- and ticket-free miles behind me.  In all the lower 48 states, in all types of weather, in every major city in America.

Of more than five years of driving professionally, three and a half of those years have been behind the wheel of owner operator trucks with no speed limiter (they'll go as fast as the driver wants them to, the one I'm in now tops out at 120 MPH according to the computer).

Most trucks on the road are speed governed....yet mine are not, so my safety record has nothing to do with my truck's control, and everything to do with my OWN driving ability.   Many trucking companies say they PREFER to hire women drivers and they do everything they can to attract us, because we're more cautious, more attentive, less likely to speed....and we tend to keep cleaner trucks ;).

You can stereotype just about anything.  There are also racial stereotypes attached to driving, but I won't lower myself by repeating them here, because when it all boils down to it, it's bunk.  There are skilled drivers of both sexes, of all races and ethnic backgrounds.

There are also flaming idiots, people who should be dragged out back and beaten with the dumba$$ stick before having their driver's licenses shoved sideways into one of their small bodily orifices....but please let's not lay blame on just one portion of the population....it's men and women alike!

  7. This is one question that could launch the battle of the sexes.

Here are some hard cold stats:

MEN ARE MORE THAN TWICE AS LIKELY TO DIE IN A CAR CRASH THAN WOMEN, consider the yearly statistics shown below.

Persons Killed, by s*x: Male, Female in 2006

Male Drivers Killed Female Drivers Killed

    29,722                         12,747

In fact, studies have shown as many as 73 percent of all people killed in car accidents are male. Since record keeping began: male fatalities significantly outweigh female fatalities.

However men and women do not drive the same number of miles under the same conditions- men do about 60-65% more driving than women. Studies show that woman take shorter trips and FEMALE DRIVERS HAVE A GREATER NUMBER OF MINOR CRASHES than do men. However MEN are still 70% more likely to be in a serious crash.

    Here's a British newspaper's  view on this:

Women and g*y men are likely to be the worst drivers, a new study has shown.

    Cars on motorway

Be afraid: Women or g*y men could be behind the wheel of any car

Research has revealed that both perform poorly in tasks involving navigation and spatial awareness when compared to heterosexual men.

Psychologists at Queen Mary, University of London, who conducted the study, believe the findings mean driving in a strange environment would be more difficult for g*y men and women than for straight male motorists.

Both tend to rely on local landmarks to get around, and are also slower to take in spatial information.

Check this site out if you want to get your blood pressure up ladies. This is definitely a prejudiced, biased, one-sided view of driving skills:
