Are you kidding me? Look around you at this section. The amount of feminist-haters and people that accuse feminists of being sexist probably exceeds the amount of feminists. Many people deem women, falsely or correctly, sexist.

Women definitely are capable of being sexist. Even though sexism is usually defined more as a system of oppression than in terms of individual acts, both individual acts of sexism against men and systems of oppression exist (custody of kids). This is not to say that women are no longer oppressed, because this is also true.

Sexism exists against both men and women, and both men and women are the perpetrators.

Some women most definitely are, just like men. I deem some women as sexist anyway, maybe it's because men have never been opressed by women so sexist comment SEEM less threatening, but that is no excuse to be sexist, I know.

And unfortunately claims of sexual harrassment by men against women are on the increase.

Both women and men can be sexist-ever hear of Phyllis Schafly or Ann Coulter? Ann Coulter doesn't think women should have the right to vote and Phyllis says women should stay home and caretake their families while she runs around the country giving speeches-and not caretaking her own family.

You know what?  I totally agree with that statement.  And I'm a woman!  But we can run around talking about how inferior and idiotic men are (and I'm not acting as if I've never done it) and it's okay.  Then women holler and pitch a fit if a man is depicted as doing that.  Of course, that's what's wrong with this country anyway in my opinion...everyone is too sensitive and up in arms about something.  If everyone would chill out and quit listening to garbage people spew about, then we would all get along a lot better.

I think the most extreme feminists could be considered sexist.  Sexism means that you believe one s*x is far better than the other, and the inferiority of the group you don't belong to cannot be changed.
