  1. Because they don't carry a stick up their butts like americans do.


  2. The threshold for what is "offensive" is much higher there.  Plus, it is much harder to file a lawsuit there.

    Here, advertisers are so afraid of offending someone (and getting sued) that they play it safe......and boring.
