  1. I was giving my hard earned dimes for the collection to the poor in Africa when I was a little boy, I'm seventy years old now and you know what, they're still collecting those dimes.

I recently heard the Government of Argentina arrested a ship and was holding it for authorities. The ship was loaded with both foodstuffs and medical goods for Africa. The African Government stopped the ship and traded it with a South American country for arms instead. The ship was from the Catholic relief foundation. I just gave to them and, now I know where my money went.

Why put the blame constantly on the West when the African countries themselves don't want help. You saw what Saddam was doing, seven palaces, giving solid gold guns away to his friends, while his people were in fact starving. Do you blame the West for this also?

There is always someone pointing their finger at America and, it's usually an American. My Grandson has been living in Iraq for over three years now, helping them to get electricity, paid for by our Government, the U.S. government. He said if not for us, they starve and, their lives are in constant danger from their own people. It's going to be a slaughter house when we leave, like Thailand with Pol That, a blood bath and not because were helping.

I've always wondered why they wanted to have chldren and bring them into poverty like they've lived in, there is no answer. The ones I gave my dimes to are the ones having the children now, it's a catch -22 situation.

  2. Because the born-agains are opposed to contraception, duh!

(are u sure you're not secretly blonde??)

  3. I really hate to say this but i do believe aids  was  introduced to the Africans probley in some  experiment .by the west.

because aids is the population control ,

  4. Because overpopulation is not the source of Africa's problems. If high population density is the main determinant, then explain why India, China, and Japan aren't in the same boat.

  5. That is a really good question of which I have no answer and I imagine that the answer will disappoint you. But in some countries, not necessarily the poor ones, they are trying to implement something of that nature.

  6. Most western countries are of a Christian-descent... and you know how christians are about killing babies... (they don't like it)....

  7. don't worry....the west gives far more money to war and murder than African aid...

  8. who is the West to REQUIRE them..?

  9. Bush"s government has a policy of not allowing any poor African  countries who want aid from us to run their medical establishments in a  pro-choice manner.  There is a strict "no mention" policy of abortion,  planned parenthood information is a joke and  with widespread HIV infection running rampant, you would think that condom distribution is funded and distributed.  Well, it isn't.  s*x education in this administration is "abstinence only"  and their antiquated views are pushed on others by hypocritical politicians who expect from others what they themselves cannot achieve.  The end result for these African nations and others in need is more children to feed,  less medical supplies all around and  a never ending cycle of desperation and despair.

  10. Requiring populaton control of members of one's own culture is repugnant enough (China had some trouple with this), but requiring it of someone else's culture is morally problematic.  Imagine how you'd feel if the U.N. tried to tell YOU that you couldn't have a baby, or not more than one.  Besides, when countries get more economically established, their population grows more slowly.  Think of a little idea called "reproductive rights".
