  1. The number is way larger before taxes, thus sounds better, for starters.

You have an option for a lump payout or over time payments. The total amount you get will depend on which one you decide and that's why they don't tell you the total after taxes.

  2. If they say its a million before taxes, then they're not lying. Look at this way, if your employer says that he will give you $10 per hour, is he lying because he didn't tell you that taxes will be taken out of there.

  3. Most people know it is before taxes... It also depends on how you claim it as a  lump sum (you loose a large sum) or annually (you get a bit more).. Either way it is money you did not have before whether it is a Million or 500K

  4. They don't want to tell you the amount after taxes because it makes the jackpot seem like much more money than it actually is.

People tend to buy more lotto tickets when the jackpot is a higher number.

  5. Welcome to America.

  6. A lie is a type of deception in the form of an untruthful statement with the intention to deceive, often with the further intention to maintain a secret or reputation, or to avoid punishment.

Please show how the states lie.

    And please don't procreate.

    Thanks,

  7. Wait if you take the cash option you walk away with less then a third. It's the Dems way to tax the poor.
