Why is it the same time in Georgia and Canada?

I live in GA and I looked up on google the time in Quebec, and it's the same time! haha that's so cool :D

It's a different country...so why isnt the time different?

The time zones run from North to South so just because it is a different country doesn't mean it has a different time zone.

because time zones aren't done by country they are vertical lines (not competely strait either) that go across the earth

It is because Georgia and part of Canada (Quebec) are in the same time zone. Time zones run vertically, not by country. There are 24 time zones, one for each hour of the day.
