  1. You can find beautiful landscape in the north and in the south of Germany. I live next to Heidelberg and dendelion you can find everywhere in Germany. Cherries I think more in the south because of the climate, for example next to the lake constanz and Bavaria.

You can mail me what you want to visit exactely and how many days you have. I suggest a round tour, you should see Berlin and Potsdam aswell.

Festivals depend on the region you want to visit.

  2. There are three regions in germany I know of which are reknown for their orchards. There's so much diversity in german landscapes you can't speak generally of a typical "spring time landscape".

To the southwest of Hamburg there's the "Alte Land" (Old Country) which is the biggest (and northernmost) fruit-growing area in central europe. Because lying in the north springtime is later than in the southwest:

Another nice place with orchards is the "Bergstraße", the northeastern part of the rhine-rift. It's the mildest region in germany and the first to have springtime:

The northern shore of lake constance is also famous for it's orchards. Due to it's location in the southernmost area of germany and rather mild temperatures caused by the lake it's among the first places where spring begins:

I can't say anything about special events since they are usually local events and you should try to find out about them yourself using the links provided.

  3. Here spring starts earlier then everywhere else in Germany and I am quiet sure you saw the cherry blossom pic from this region. It's famous for it.

Dandelions you will find everywhere, where you have gras. It's not considered being a flower, it's weed.

In spring people not doing anything special. they act and eat like the rest of the year. In the a.m. region it is very common to dring "aeppelwoi" means: applewein. The 1st of May is a holiday (Labour day) and then there are Eastern, Pfingsten and Himmelfahrt. Mostly around Pfingsten there are some fests going on in the country.

If you go by the calender, spring time in Germany is like every where else. If you go by the weather, well nobody knows in advance. Can be really nice in March already, but it also can still freeze until May. But mostly the weather in May is nice already.

  4. i live in the northern part of Germany.... and i can say that the "Harz", the "Lüneburgerheide" or the "Deister" are very beautiful in springtme....

if you need special informations i could search some points for you....
