  1. there may have been recalls issued on car seats that u may not know about.

be safe and get a new one.

  2. there are lots of reasons why you shouldn't use a used car seat. one car seats expire.2 if the car seat you bought was in a wreck then the plastic can be damaged even if you can't see it. you should just buy a new one.

  3. Carseats have an expiration date as well, normally 5 years. I know it shows the date it was produced on the box. How about checking the seat for a date?

  4. If the seat has been in an accident, there can be stress damage to the plastic. It may not be visible to the naked eye, but could mean that the seat doesn't hold up well.

There are so many ways you can save money on baby stuff. Don't compromise on a carseat.

  5. You don't know whether or not it's been in an accident.  And even if it isn't dented or cracked or something, it could still be damaged.  A car seat is not something I would go cheap with.  It could be the difference between life and death for your child.
