Why is it useless to take antibiotics for viruses?

  1. Anti-biotics usually work on some part of the cell membrane of bacteria to interfere with some cellular process.  Viruses are just a protein coat and nucleic acid.  There are no cell membranes to interact with.


  2. They occupy the cells and also viruses never leave the system. Its why you usually have these things once if you have more than its relapses.
