  1. Like butterflies come from caterpillars, flies come from maggots. The flies are attracted to the dead animal and they lay their eggs there. Maggots are a part of the fly's life cycle.

  2. Flies.  Maggots are baby flies and are the garbage men of the carcass world.  Their job is to get rid of dead things.

  3. "Maggots" are the larval stage of many instects, flies, beetles ect. The female finds the animal and deposits its eggs on the corpse, then the eggs hatch and the "babys" eat the flesh and then the cycle continues. They basically clean the place up or there would be rotting animals everywere.

  4. they come from the fly when the fly lays eggs

  5. Maggots get to human corpses too.

They feed on decaying flesh.  Animal, human, doesn't matter.

Flies lay eggs in the corpse, they hatch into maggots.

  6. Hey I'm Shayla!

Well i am so sorry for you if you lost an animal or yours! But the maggots come from flys. They are there babies. Well hope that helped!

  7. Flies and other insects will begin laying eggs as soon as an animal dies.  Some hatch and turn to maggots fairly quickly.

Forensic laboratories can actually estimate when someone died by examining the larva and such found on the body.  Gross, but interesting.

  8. Maggots are the fly larva, flys lay their eggs on dead things.
