  1. To see if the time is freckle past hair o'clock.

  2. I don't do this.  Depends on how long you have been wearing a watch for.  I havn't worn a watch for about 15 years now.

I know for sure I wouldn't do this!

I am guessing you pointed towards your heart and chest region, right?

Your thoughts and 'you' surely come from your brain.  So why when I asked you this question didn't you automatically point to your head instead?

  3. i dont do tht

  4. In olden times, like right back to tree-dwelling, we would tell the time by looking at our own shadow, but as we would usually be sitting in the shade of a bush when doing this we would hold an arm out into the sun to cast a shadow.   It goes that far back.

  5. Haha! I reckon its just habit (you can usually see a watch-tan-line to show that they do often wear one) and so they just automatically look to their arm when someone asks.

    Just an idea, x.

  6. Habit.

  7. Probably since wearing a watch on the wrist is so much of a habit. If on one day, they don't have the watch on for whatever reason, it has just become an automatic reaction to look at thier wrist when someone asks the time.

If someone doesn't wear a watch often, or hasn't wore one for a long time, then they will likely be less inclined to automatically look at thier wrist, though.

  8. It's a human reflex.

  9. its all about body memory - usually this occurs with persons who are accustomed to or have worn a watch in their lives. the habit sticks with them.

  10. Habit
