people ask about windows vista all the time and yes it does suck so don't waste your money on it. anytime I let people know how bad vista was even after I went and spent $200.00 on the vista ultimate upgrade and it still sucked so I went and installed XP on a New Dell E521 that came with vista. Every time I let people know how bad vista was yahoo answers removes my answer. If this has happened to you my question is do you think yahoo and microsoft are ripping people off together or is yahoo getting a cutback from vista sales.

  1. Neither one Chris.  If it was true your question here would have been pulled as well. Your experience with Vista is a bummer but it seems many others have had the same experience.  I only know 1 person who has Vista and it seems to work ok but having had a quick play with it and reading some of the horror stories in computer magazines, I will stick to my beloved XP till the bitter end.  It is still supported by MS but I know that will end eventually.

  2. Yes.  Microsoft purchased Yahoo earlier this year, making www.google.com the only other competition.

  3. Yeah, no. I don't know what Black Glory is talking about. Microsoft made a bid to purchase Yahoo but it never went through. Seriously just look it up, you'll see no mention anywhere that it actually was purchased.

I've answered several questions about Vista/XP explaining the "Vista sucks" aspect and my answers were not removed.

  4. I sure hope not, thats the whole idea of internet, people can share information.

Vista do suck, and suck bad, we have a business licence where we get licence for Vista and Office 2007, and not a single person here uses it, the idea of having to change the way you work and get less productivity is just stupid.

Windows 7 , based on Vista is due late next year or 2010, if its anything like Vista, god help them.

So many users I know moved to OSX because they cant stand Vista but heard that XP are no longer supported, this is one marketing that backfired, MS may think by butting off XP will force users to Vista, but there are also Mac and Linux, even though Mac has limited support and Linux and difficult to use, when push comes to shuf, users will jump ship.

Personally I hope either Linux will gain more market, or Apple will licence OSX on regular PC (unlikely). Microsoft has become its own boss and want to determine how you should use yours, not to mention all the spying within their updates, until its found, its always a 'no we do not do such thing.'
