Why is it when you are signaling to change lanes, the jerk behind speeds up?

If he speeds up he's opened a space behind him.  Use that.

Sometimes they just did it purposely, just want to give you a space, so they speed up.  Sometimes they have stress from work and upset and angry so they do that.  

I have seen people like that.

I think they are really competitive and just don't want to be behind anyone.  Really bad habit now that gas is this high.

It used to make me mad then I pretend not to see them ,then they have to stop short and they end up being mad.
