Why is it when you give....? ?

When you give a short answer you get more thumbs up and when you give a longer-- more detailed answer you tend to get thumbs down?? I thought it was about quantity, not quality. XD

No, I'd say quality is more important. Plus people get bored reading the long answers and just give it a thumbs down without reading it alot of the time.

I get bored with the long answers and just ignore them.Especially those ones by well-meaning christians.

Lack of attention span.  That's why they're on the internet and not reading a book.

people are just lazy, if they cannot read what you wrote in 2 seconds they just assume they do not like it...I know what you mean, kinda g*y but yeah.

I agree! Sometimes when I type out what I thought was a good answer people give me thumbs down. I just overlook it.

I think that peolpe don't really want to read long anwsers  that much and i think thats what that is

generally long answer is not liked...answer  should be good and as brief as possible.......long answer can be liked if it is so that the reader may not lose interest.....try to stick to the topic when answering

Because they can't understand words with more than 2 syllables...including the word syllables.

I just skip over the long answers there usually copy and paste jobs, not worth the time.

And then theres the idiots who post whole pages of the bible, so annoying.

No matter WHAT you say in here, one gets a ton of thumbs down.  Some people just like to give thumbs down, no matter what one says!

I think most people just give their thumbs up and thumbs down randomly.  I never really give either.  Most of the time you can give a really good answer that isn't offensive in anyway and you get loads of thumbs down.  Some might just be jealous that they couldn't think of an answers as good as that.
