Why is it when you take a bite of a sandwich, the bread sticks to the roof of your mouth?

Wheat bread contains GLUTEN.  You can make GLUE from wheat bread. It is the gluten that makes the bread stick to the roof of your mouth.

Take a smaller bite or enter my world where you can never eat bread, cake, donuts, pies, cookies, gravy . . . .  without getting sick!

It's because the sandwich is about the height of your mouth and it is the first thing that touches the roof of your mouth. Your saliva also takes part in this, because it helps the soft, starchy bread to stick. Good luck!
