  1. to be honest i dont know,,but i suppose its like because you pay so much attention to it that u actually feel like as if you're in it. after i watched nightmare on elm street i uused to "hear" metal being scratched but it wasnt happening it was just because i watched them that iit made my mind play tricks on me.same with scream,i used to think that he was in my wardrobe watching me then when i opened my wardrobe a scream mask fell out (my one from halloween) so it scared me more and other films so what i try to do is watch another movie afterwards but not a horror one either that or ill listen to music.

  2. Well if it was horrifying and you can't take your mind off it, then you think the same thing might happen to you because it seemed so real. Try not to think about it and do something that will occupy yourself.

  3. Its funn!!!!

  4. The same as watching a sad or funny film, it becomes attuned to the emotion, the answer is not to watch horror films, there is no reason to.

  5. I hate horror movies because I am always scared but i watch them anyways because they're interesting but I get scared because you see the scary images in your head and you think maybe something like that is guna come after me or thats guna happen to me, it is phsychological. If you are the type that is scared afterwards I dont think you can help but being scared, I say, keep watching scary movies and when then maybe you just wont afraid anymore because its like you've seen other things and they're just not scary anymore but thats my opinion :)

  6. even though things in horror films would never (hardly) happen it is still scary to put yourself in the situation of the film...

disney afterwards is always a winner!!

  7. I don't get scared anymore, but when I was younger (like seven) I used to watch it for the adrenaline rush.  Who knew getting scared was so much fun?  I also like to watch them so I can think about what I would do in the situation.

  8. I always loved horror films when I was younger, I'd watch anything even if it really scared me, then I'd sleep with the light on for a while. But as I got older, I don't care for them barely at all now, I avoid seeing them because I mess with my own head for ages after I've seen them. I'd be walking the dog and then "Blair Witch" would pop in my head, or Jack's back...or something I didn't want to have there. I'd be outside in the dark going to the shed to put laundry in, and then Texas chainsaw would pop in my head and I'd spook myself and run in the house again.

I gave up horror films a while back, the nastier ones. I like to be able to walk about in my house without putting the light on, to walk through the dark dining room and put the kitchen light on without scareing myself, and I feel like the horror leaves an impression on the house. I banned all real horror films from this house when we moved in. There's been no bad brought in to this house and I can walk through it in the dark with no fear at all.

I don't like roller coasters now I am older either - I reckon it all becomes to real when you are finally old enough to understand it properly. The thought of dieing is so much harder to take as you wander towards middle age or old age. Kids live forever.
