You can on some airlines,or drink it quick and ship the gun in your baggage

yeah you can, if you buy it in the airport.  and you can't bring guns on an airplane.  do you want to be safe on your airplane or not?  you're not comparing apples to apples.

You can't buy a gun in an airport, but they at least still let you buy the coffee there.

Whether you are allowed to carry it on board depends on the airline.  Some won't let you at all, but others have been more generous...

because you could seriously burn someone with scalding hot coffee, but you can't do that with a gun.
