  1. I forget. :] But it had something to do with them being fat and walking instead of flying. ... And uh. That's what Americans do. We're fatties.

You probably do see them all the time but just don't realize it.  By the time the babies leave the nest they pretty much look just like the adults.  You might notice a couple that look a little fluffy, these are babies that have not lost all their down feathers yet...or you may see one bird feeding another which would be a parent feeding a baby.
