  3. Because of his fairy tale type rise to be Heavyweight Champ in 1935, he retired in 1938.

  4. Becoz he symbolised  an  American in the 1940 and 50s where each of them struggled to find bread for their family at least once in a day. He epitomised the saying that if u hang in there you will finally succeed..He symbolised the greatest victory that a poor and hardworking man in the american civilization in the 40's could think of and achieve. He was the cindrella man for all of them and its just his charm and his love for his family and kids that made him the most loved boxer of all times....He has been a great inspiration for all...and i am one among his greatest admirers.....he showed a path that anybody could achieve anything if he has the will to do it......
