espn definitely did this for the ratings, but i think it backfired. JT shouldn't have been chosen to host the espys, I mean how much does he know about sports considering that he was on tour most of the year.

plus, his talents are only in singing and acting. the espys should be hosted by a person who is knowledgable in sports like john madden, not an entertainment performer.
