  1. God wanted to spare us the Knowledge which is sin and inevitably death. He would rather we did not know what he knew, because He knew we would fall because of it, and would be lost to His presence.  He foreknew we would and made all provisions for us to come back through Christ, but in this process we must choose Him over this place, and be obedient here and there too.  Now we are better equipped with the "why" of the situation, as we are all born into sin and death, and only find life through rebirth in Christ.

  2. Well I have  something else to say.......

    * "The ink of the scholar is more precious than the blood of the martyr"--Mohammad, al-Kuliyat by Abu al-Baqa’ al-Kafawi, pg. 370; Al-Resalah Publishers.

    * "Seek knowledge even if need be, on the borders of China."-Mohammad

    * "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave."-Mohammad

    * "God has created nothing better than REASON."-Mohammad

    * "One learned man is harder on the devil than a thousand worshippers."-Mohammad

    * " It's better to think for one hour than to pray for 70 years "-- Mohammad

    .................

  3. I didn't know it was. Can you give an example of this?

  4. Not forbidden by God, forbidden by the men who wrote the Bible because questioning the errors and inconsistencies in the Bible has the same effect as strongly blowing on a house of cards.

  5. Some people answered : " Knowledge of evil things is forbidden by God" ,

But if we don't know the knowledge of Evil , then how will he know right from wrong ? How will we know the difference between good and evil ?

Simple , the Christian god wants us to stay dumb so we can worship him .

Harleys : then it's better to fail at something you know then to not know .without fail , there is no success

  6. 'Knowledge' is notforbidden by God; it is what is done with it (discernment/wisdom (or lack of)) that can be 'dangerous'.

  7. god doesn't forbid knowledge he gives us the knowledge some of us just dont use it

  8. never heard that one before.

  9. Knowledge is not forbidden by God, it's just not revealed, it is in the search for knowledge that one finds wisdom, and that's what he really wants you to find.

  10. What? Lol God doesn't forbid knowledge.

  11. dunno

  12. easy!

    it wasent!

  13. well that would explain why there are so many dumbass Christians!

  14. Because it's in the bible. One interpretations of the forbidden fruit isn't just sin, but the knowledge of sin. Or if you'd like, the knowledge of man. It's like this, we used to be a bunch of monkeys sitting around in trees eating, sleeping, s******g, and having a good time. One day a monkey picked up a hammer and created the rat race that we live in today. Now we need to go to a crappy 9-5 job for unfair wages so that we can buy a big screen tv.

Plus religion is basically the preservation of ignorance. So expect a whole lot of "god is knowledge" c**p.

  15. Because I don't think any logical and rational person could believe any of this rubbish!

  16. Only knowledge of Evil, look around and see were disobeying him got us.

  17. It is not.  (in the sense of understanding).  What was (and is) forbidden is to experience (know) evil.

  18. There are two trees in the garden. These two trees have more than a literal meaning. We are told that The tree of knowledge of good and evil is forbidden.

The day Adam eats of it he will surely die.

The tree of life is also in the midst of the garden if they eat of it they will live forever.

These two trees are obviously more than trees.

What is the knowledge of good and evil?

Where could a man gain knowledge of good and evil?

We get our knowledge of good and evil from God.

The law that God sent down to Moses is the knowledge of good and evil.

Why would God's righteous law kill man?

Because man could not live up to God's righteousness.

It is also the reason there was a tree in the midst of the garden called the tree of life.

This is God's mercy. Salvation through Jesus Christ.

This story Moses tells is of the two natures of God his righteousness and his mercy.

It is the story of man and his fall from God's glory and God's plan of salvation.

  24. god does not want any rivals.

  25. Knowledge is not forbidden by God. God's knowledge in The Bible is advanced knowledge from ours not obsolete knowledge that no longer applies to modern times. Our scientific knowledge is just starting to catch up to God's but will never surpass it. The warnings He is giving us in The Bible, especially about us keeping our evilness under control is to help the human race survive and flourish on Earth without Him physically being present. He knows what harm the human race can do to each other as well as the good.

  26. No, He doesn't. He only keeps some secrets for Himself.
